Arrival at Entebbe
Today your adventure begins. You depart from home for your intercontinental flight to Entebbe. During the flight, you leave everyday life behind and prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey through the Pearl Of Africa.
​
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your accommodation. You will most likely arrive late in the evening, making it a good time to unwind and recover from your journey.
If you arrive earlier, you can enjoy a relaxed dinner at the hotel and take in your first impressions.

Either this evening or tomorrow morning, one of us will meet you at the hotel for a briefing to set expectations and being able to ask any question you like.

Kampala
In the morning, you’ll head to Kampala for an exciting boda-boda tour of the city’s main highlights.
Guided by a local expert, you’ll explore the vibrant Nakasero and Owino markets, where the bustling city life and colorful trade come alive. You’ll also stop at the Gaddafi Mosque, offering panoramic views over Kampala, and visit the Uganda Museum to learn more about the country’s rich history and culture.

Jinja
In the morning, you’ll leave the bustling city of Kampala and drive east towards Jinja, a lively town located on the shores of Lake Victoria and known as the adventure capital of Uganda.
In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a guided walking tour through the town, exploring its vibrant streets, local markets, and colonial-era architecture while learning about the history and culture of the area.

The day ends with a relaxed dinner, where you can enjoy local cuisine and reflect on the start of your journey.

Jinja
You’ll wake up in Jinja, ready for a day full of adventure. Known as Uganda’s adventure capital, this vibrant town offers a wide range of exciting activities along the Nile.
​
You can choose the experience that suits you best — from white-water rafting on the Nile, a thrilling 43-meter bungee jump, or quad biking through local villages, to horseback riding along the Nile banks, ziplining in Mabira Forest, or kayaking on the river.
If you are less of an adventurist, choose for any arts & crafts workshop!

As the day winds down, you’ll end this unforgettable experience with a sundowner boat tour to the Source of the Nile, where the world’s longest river begins. It’s the perfect moment to relax on the water, watch the sunset, and take in the beauty of this historic and iconic place.

Community Project
During your journey, you will have the opportunity to spend time with a local community project. This experience allows you to connect more deeply with the daily life of people in Uganda and gain a better understanding of the communities you are visiting.
​
Day 1 – Introduction and Connection
You will be welcomed by a local organization or community leader who will introduce you to the project and the people involved. They will share the story behind the initiative, how it started, and the role it plays within the community. This introduction offers insight into both the challenges and the strength of local initiatives.
​
After the introduction, you will have the chance to observe and take part in some of the project’s daily activities. Depending on the project, this may include visiting a local school, learning about farming or gardening initiatives, or discovering traditional crafts and skills practiced within the community.
​
Throughout the day, there will be time for conversations and cultural exchange. You may hear personal stories, learn about local traditions, and gain a deeper understanding of everyday life in the village.

Community Project
Day 2 – Participation and Deeper Understanding
On the second day, you return to the project and continue engaging with the community. By now, the environment will feel more familiar, allowing for more meaningful interaction and participation in ongoing activities.

You may spend more time with community members, join practical tasks, or learn more about how the project contributes to long-term development and local empowerment. This day often includes informal moments such as sharing a meal, listening to music, or simply spending time together.
​
Spending two days in the community allows you to move beyond a short visit and build genuine connections. It offers a more authentic understanding of the people, their resilience, and the initiatives that help strengthen their future.
​
You leave with valuable insights, meaningful memories, and a deeper appreciation of the culture and the community you have spent time with.

Sipi Falls
In the morning you depart from Jinja and travel east towards the beautiful highlands near Sipi Falls, located on the foothills of Mount Elgon. The drive takes you through changing landscapes, from green valleys and small trading centers to the cooler mountain scenery.

After arriving at your lodge, you have some time to settle in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
​
In the late afternoon you head out for a short hike in the hills around Sipi. As you walk through local villages and farmland, you will enjoy beautiful views over the valleys and waterfalls. The hike ends with a stunning sundown view over the mountains, one of the most magical moments in Sipi.
​
In the evening you return to your lodge where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and listen to the quiet sounds of nature.

Sipi Falls
In the morning you set out on a guided hike to explore the famous waterfalls of Sipi Falls.
During the walk you visit the three spectacular waterfalls that make this area so unique. Along the way you pass local farms, small villages, and beautiful viewpoints overlooking the valleys below.

After the hike, you continue to a local coffee experience where you will learn how coffee is traditionally produced in this region. The slopes of Mount Elgon are known for growing high-quality Arabica coffee. During the experience you will see the full process—from roasting the beans to grinding them by hand—and you will even have the chance to make and taste your own fresh coffee.
​
After this cultural experience you return to your lodge where you can relax, enjoy the views, and take some time to rest after the morning’s adventure.

Murchison Falls
You’ll wake up in Sipi Falls and depart for a drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area.
​
Upon arrival, you’ll begin with a short hike to the top of Murchison Falls, one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. Here, the Nile River is forced through a narrow 7-meter gap before crashing down with incredible force — an unforgettable natural spectacle and one of the most dramatic sights in East Africa.
​
After the hike, you’ll continue to your lodge inside the park, where you can relax, enjoy the surrounding views, and settle in for the next part of your adventure.
​
Murchison Falls National Park stretches across vast landscapes of savannah, woodland, and riverine forest at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley. The park offers some of Uganda’s best wildlife viewing opportunities, with elephants, buffalo, lions, giraffes, and many antelope species roaming the plains. Along the Nile, you may also spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a rich variety of birdlife, including the rare shoebill stork.

Early in the morning, you’ll set out for your first game drive, just as the sun rises over the savannah. This is when wildlife is most active, giving you a great chance to spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, and various antelope species roaming the plains.

Around midday, you’ll enjoy a lunch in the bush, surrounded by the sounds and scenery of the African wilderness.
​
After lunch, you’ll head to the Nile River for a boat safari, cruising upstream towards the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Along the way, keep your eyes open for hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants along the riverbanks, and an incredible variety of birdlife.
​
After this unforgettable experience on the river, you’ll return to the lodge for some well-deserved rest, taking in the views and relaxing after a day full of wildlife encounters.

Murchison Falls
Early in the morning, you’ll head out for another game drive across the savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. With the soft morning light and cooler temperatures, wildlife is often very active, offering great opportunities to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species.
​
For bird lovers, there is the option to search for the rare and prehistoric-looking shoebill stork in the wetlands of the Nile Delta. This early morning excursion offers a peaceful boat ride through papyrus swamps, where you may encounter this iconic bird as well as many other species.
​
After some time to relax and unwind at the lodge, you’ll head out for another game drive in the late afternoon. As the sun begins to set over the savannah, the landscape is bathed in warm golden light, creating the perfect atmosphere for wildlife viewing and photography.
​
During this sunset game drive, keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and predators beginning their evening activities. It’s a beautiful and memorable way to end the day in Murchison Falls National Park.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
In the morning, you’ll drive approximately four hours from Sipi Falls to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild.
​
In the afternoon, you’ll set out on a rhino trekking experience, marking your first encounter with one of the Big Five. Accompanied by well-trained rangers, you’ll enter the territory of the southern white rhinos on foot.
​
During the trek, your guides will lead you through the bush to the area where the rhinos are roaming at that moment. Since the rhinos move freely within the 27 square miles of the sanctuary, you may first drive to their general location before continuing the final part of the trek on foot.
​
This unique adventure gives you the chance to observe these magnificent and endangered animals up close in their natural habitat, while learning about the important conservation efforts that are helping to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda.

Cultural experience

Early in the morning, you’ll depart from Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and set off on a scenic 5 hour drive to Fort Portal. The journey takes you through Uganda’s picturesque countryside, passing rolling hills, small villages, and lush landscapes.
Along the way, you’ll stop at a local village for a traditional Ugandan lunch, prepared by a welcoming family. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience daily life in rural Uganda, meet locals, learn about their customs, and savor authentic flavors that you won’t find anywhere else.
After lunch, you’ll continue your drive to Fort Portal, the “tourism capital” of western Uganda, surrounded by stunning crater lakes and lush scenery, setting the stage for the next adventure of your journey.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park
Start your day with an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in the lush forests of Kibale National Park, one of Uganda’s most biodiverse areas.
The park is home to a large population of chimpanzees as well as many other primate species.
Guided by experienced rangers, you’ll trek along forest trails, listening to the sounds of the jungle and spotting a variety of wildlife along the way.
​
The highlight of the trek is encountering chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Watch them swing through the trees, groom each other, forage for food, and communicate with their distinctive calls.
Your guide will explain their behavior, social structure, and the conservation efforts that protect these incredible primates.
This immersive experience blends wildlife adventure with environmental awareness, making it a truly memorable day in western Uganda.

Fort Portal
Spend the day exploring the scenic beauty of Fort Portal, often called the “tourism capital” of western Uganda.

Start with a visit to the Hot Springs, a fascinating natural site where the water is so hot that eggs can be boiled in it.
​
Next, venture into the surrounding countryside to visit the stunning crater lakes, formed by ancient volcanic activity. Take in the tranquil waters, enjoy the lush landscapes, and capture some unforgettable photos.
​
Finish the day with a leisurely walking tour through Fort Portal, discovering its charming streets, local markets, and vibrant culture.

Coffee,Tea or Vanilla farm visit
Today you’ll drive approximately 2-3 hours towards Katunguru.
Along the way, you can choose to visit a coffee or tea farm, which is a hands-on experience. You’ll have the chance to make your own coffee or tea and even take some home with you, or simply enjoy tasting the fresh brews.
​
For lunch, you’ll visit the home of a Ugandan family. This is your chance to experience everyday Ugandan life, share a meal, and learn more about local culture and traditions.

Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning, a guide will meet you at the Kazinga Channel, famous for hosting one of Africa’s largest populations of hippos. Here, you’ll embark on an unforgettable boat safari, observing wildlife along the riverbanks while enjoying the dramatic scenery.
Elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, and a remarkable variety of birds are often spotted along the water.
​
After lunch, you’ll set off on your first game drive.
Across the expansive savannahs, keep your eyes open for elephants, buffalo, and various antelope species. In Ishasha, you’ll search for the famous tree-climbing lions, one of the park’s most unique and remarkable sights.
​
This area is also known for its elusive leopards, often hidden in the tall grass or resting in the trees. With a bit of luck, you might even spot one during today’s adventure.

Queen Elizabeth National Park
Spend a full day exploring the wonders of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Start with an early morning game drive, when wildlife is most active, and look out for elephants, lions, buffalo, antelope, and a variety of bird species.
After a morning of wildlife spotting, enjoy a leisurely lunch with views over the savannah before continuing your adventure in the park. You’ll have time for another short game drive or a scenic walk, immersing yourself in the park’s rich landscapes.
In the late afternoon, you’ll travel to Lake Bunyonyi, a serene and picturesque destination known for its calm waters and stunning hills. This peaceful retreat is the perfect place to relax, reflect, and enjoy the tranquility after a day of wildlife adventures.

Lake Bunyoni
Today, the day at Lake Bunyonyi is yours to enjoy.
Relax by the lodge, soak in the breathtaking scenery, or simply take in the peaceful surroundings. It’s the perfect moment to slow down and reflect on the incredible experiences of your journey so far.

If you feel like exploring, you can choose to take a canoe trip across Lake Bunyonyi, cycle through the surrounding hills, or simply continue relaxing by the water.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
For the adventurous, there is the optional gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of Uganda’s most iconic wildlife encounters.
Guided by experienced rangers, you’ll trek through dense rainforest in search of the majestic mountain gorillas. This once-in-a-lifetime experience allows you to observe gorillas up close in their natural habitat, watch their interactions, and learn about their behavior, social structure, and the conservation efforts that protect them.
The trek can be physically challenging, but the reward of seeing these incredible primates makes it unforgettable.

Journey to Lake Mburo and Community Visit
After breakfast, you’ll leave the peaceful shores of Lake Bunyonyi and begin a scenic four-hour journey to Lake Mburo National Park.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy the rolling hills and picturesque landscapes of western Uganda.In the afternoon, you’ll stop at a local community project focused on empowering girls.
Depending on the program, this could involve tailoring skills, vocational training, or basic medical support. This visit offers a meaningful insight into community development and the positive impact of local initiatives, giving you the chance to connect with and support the community.

Lake Mburo

This intimate and beautiful park in western Uganda is known for its mix of open savannahs, acacia woodlands, reed beds, and small lakes. Despite its compact size, Lake Mburo boasts a surprisingly rich biodiversity. The park offers a more peaceful and personal safari experience compared to the larger parks, allowing you to enjoy nature up close without the crowds.

After breakfast, it’s time for a walking or cycling safari, where you can explore the park at your own pace and immerse yourself in its wildlife and landscapes.
​
Later in the afternoon, take some time to rest and relax at your lodge, soaking in the beautiful views and reflecting on the day’s encounters with nature.

Entebbe
After breakfast, you’ll depart from Lake Mburo and begin the journey back to Entebbe. The drive takes approximately 4 hours.
Along the way, you’ll also visit a local community, where you’ll take part in a hands-on cultural experience. This is more than just a visit — you’ll have the opportunity to engage with local people in their daily life, learn traditional skills, participate in meaningful projects, and gain insight into the culture, customs, and stories of the community.
​
It’s a chance to connect, contribute, and leave a positive impact while experiencing life as locals do.
​
If time allows, you may also stop once more at the Uganda Equator, a fun and iconic landmark where you can take photos and stand with one foot in each hemisphere.
By late afternoon or early evening, you’ll arrive in Entebbe, where you can relax at your accommodation or prepare for your onward journey home, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences and memories from your time in Uganda.

Shoebill Swamp Adventure
Today is all about relaxation and reflection. You can choose to take a leisurely stroll through Entebbe and visit the local Crafts Market, a perfect place to admire traditional Ugandan crafts and pick up souvenirs.

For those seeking a unique wildlife experience, there is the optional Shoebill Swamp excursion. Glide through the peaceful waterways in a canoe, surrounded by dense papyrus and lush vegetation. Keep your eyes peeled for the majestic shoebill, a rare and iconic bird, as well as other wetland wildlife such as herons, kingfishers, and monitor lizards.
