Arrival at Entebbe

Today your adventure begins. You depart from home for your intercontinental flight to Entebbe. During the flight, you leave everyday life behind and prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey through the Pearl Of Africa.

​

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your accommodation. You will most likely arrive late in the evening, making it a good time to unwind and recover from your journey.

 

If you arrive earlier, you can enjoy a relaxed dinner at the hotel and take in your first impressions.

​​

Either this evening or tomorrow morning, one of us will meet you at the hotel for a briefing to set expectations and being able to ask any question you like.

​

Tomorrow, the program truly begins.

Kampala

In the morning, you’ll head to Kampala for an exciting boda-boda tour of the city’s main highlights.

Guided by a local expert, you’ll explore the vibrant Nakasero and Owino markets, where the bustling city life and colorful trade come alive. You’ll also stop at the Gaddafi Mosque, offering panoramic views over Kampala, and visit the Uganda Museum to learn more about the country’s rich history and culture.

Cultural experience

Early in the morning, you’ll depart from Kampala and head towards Lake Mburo National Park. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Equator, an iconic spot perfect for fun photos and experiencing what it feels like to stand halfway around the world.

​

You’ll also visit a local community, where you’ll take part in a hands-on cultural experience. This is more than just a visit — you’ll have the opportunity to engage with local people in their daily life, learn traditional skills, participate in meaningful projects, and gain insight into the culture, customs, and stories of the community.

​

It’s a chance to connect, contribute, and leave a positive impact while experiencing life as locals do.

Lake Mburo

​

This intimate and beautiful park in western Uganda is known for its mix of open savannahs, acacia woodlands, reed beds, and small lakes. Despite its compact size, Lake Mburo boasts a surprisingly rich biodiversity. The park offers a more peaceful and personal safari experience compared to the larger parks, allowing you to enjoy nature up close without the crowds.

​

After breakfast, it’s time for a walking or cycling safari, where you can explore the park at your own pace and immerse yourself in its wildlife and landscapes.

​

Later in the afternoon, take some time to rest and relax at your lodge, soaking in the beautiful views and reflecting on the day’s encounters with nature.

Coffee,Tea or Vanilla farm visit

Today you’ll drive approximately 4–5 hours towards Katunguru. Along the way, you can choose to visit a coffee or tea farm, which is a hands-on experience. You’ll have the chance to make your own coffee or tea and even take some home with you, or simply enjoy tasting the fresh brews.

​

For lunch, you’ll stop at a typical Ugandan restaurant to sample local street food. Here, there is also a children’s daycare that you can visit if you wish, offering a glimpse into the local community.

 

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your lodge, where you can relax and take in the beautiful surroundings after a day of travel and cultural experiences.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kalinzu Forest

Begin your day with an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in the lush Kalinzu Forest, located near Queen Elizabeth National Park. This tropical forest is home to a large population of chimpanzees as well as many other primate species.

 

Guided by experienced rangers, you’ll trek through dense forest trails while listening to the sounds of the jungle and spotting a variety of wildlife along the way.

 

The highlight of the trek is encountering chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

You may see them swinging through the trees, grooming each other, foraging for food, or communicating with their distinctive calls.

Your guide will explain their behavior, social structure, and the conservation efforts that help protect these incredible primates.

 

This immersive experience combines wildlife encounters with cultural and environmental awareness, making it a truly memorable day in western Uganda.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, a guide will meet you at the Kazinga Channel, famous for hosting one of Africa’s largest populations of hippos. Here, you’ll embark on an unforgettable boat safari, observing wildlife along the riverbanks while enjoying the dramatic scenery.

Elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, and a remarkable variety of birds are often spotted along the water.

 

After the boat safari, your guide will take you on a short walk through the nearby town, where you’ll visit the home of a Ugandan family for lunch. This is your chance to experience everyday Ugandan life, share a meal, and learn more about local culture and traditions.

​

After lunch, you’ll drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park towards Lake Bunyonyi. The drive takes about four hours, but along the way you’ll already be on the lookout for wildlife. Traveling through the northern sector, the transfer almost seamlessly turns into a game drive.

​

Across the expansive savannahs, keep your eyes open for elephants, buffalo, and various antelope species. In Ishasha, you’ll search for the famous tree-climbing lions, one of the park’s most unique and remarkable sights.

​

This area is also known for its elusive leopards, often hidden in the tall grass or resting in the trees. With a bit of luck, you might even spot one during today’s journey.

Lake Bunyoni

Today, the day at Lake Bunyonyi is yours to enjoy.


Relax by the lodge, soak in the breathtaking scenery, or simply take in the peaceful surroundings. It’s the perfect moment to slow down and reflect on the incredible experiences of your journey so far.

​

If you feel like exploring, you can choose to take a canoe trip across Lake Bunyonyi, cycle through the surrounding hills, or simply continue relaxing by the water.

Entebbe

After breakfast, you’ll depart from the peaceful shores of Lake Bunyonyi and begin the journey back to Entebbe. The drive takes approximately 7–8 hours, taking you through the scenic hills of southwestern Uganda, vibrant towns, and lush countryside.Along the way, you’ll pass local markets, small villages, and rolling green landscapes, offering a final glimpse into daily life in rural Uganda.

 

There will be time to stop for lunch and short breaks, allowing you to stretch your legs and enjoy the journey at a relaxed pace.If time allows, you may also stop once more at the Uganda Equator, a fun and iconic landmark where you can take photos and stand with one foot in each hemisphere.

 

By late afternoon or early evening, you’ll arrive in Entebbe, where you can relax at your accommodation or prepare for your onward journey home, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences and memories from your time in Uganda.

Reflection & Journey back

Today is all about relaxation.
You can choose to take a leisurely stroll through Entebbe and visit the local Crafts Market, a perfect place to admire traditional Ugandan crafts and pick up souvenirs.

After an unforgettable journey filled with nature, wildlife, and culture, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home — a beautiful conclusion to a truly special experience in Uganda.
